Avail Snapshot

The snapshot is a ParityDB database from a pruned node (--state-pruning 256 --blocks-pruning 1000). It can't be used for an archive node.

Update and install aria2, zstd

sudo apt update && sudo apt install aria2 zstd -y

Stop the avail service and remove the old database (keystore and network are kept)

sudo service avail stop
rm -rf $HOME/.avail/data/chains/avail_da_mainnet/paritydb

Download the snapshot and extract it. If curl downloads are slow, consider using aria2 for faster speeds.

Loading the current snapshot...

Start the avail service and monitor the logs

sudo service avail start && sudo journalctl -fu avail -o cat
