Bitway snapshot
Our latest Bitway snapshot, and the steps to restore it into a node that is already set up.

Snapshot may be out of date
This snapshot is older than usual. The last attempt to take a new snapshot failed. It is still complete and usable; your node syncs the remaining blocks from peers.
Step 1: Install aria2 and zstd
sudo apt update && sudo apt install aria2 zstd -y Step 2: Stop the node, back up the validator state and reset
sudo service bitway stop
cp $HOME/.bitway/data/priv_validator_state.json $HOME/.bitway/priv_validator_state.json.backup
bitwayd tendermint unsafe-reset-all --home $HOME/.bitway --keep-addr-book Step 3: Set the database backend
The data opens only with the backend it was written with, goleveldb. Your node binary must be built with support for it.
sed -i -E 's/^db_backend *=.*/db_backend = "goleveldb"/' $HOME/.bitway/config/config.toml
sed -i -E 's/^app-db-backend *=.*/app-db-backend = "goleveldb"/' $HOME/.bitway/config/app.toml Step 4: Download and extract
The commands name the current archive; copy them again for a newer snapshot.
Streams the archive into the node's folder; needs no free disk space for it.
Faster, over 8 connections; needs free disk space for the archive while it is extracted.

Step 5: Start the node and follow the logs
sudo service bitway start && sudo journalctl -fu bitway -o cat
